Originally established in 1953, E.J. Coyne & Company was founded in Chicago by Edward J. Coyne, whose legacy is continued by his sons, Ed and Matt Coyne, who now run the family business. We truly believe in being loyal to each and every client and are proud to have some who have been with us for over 50 years. We’ve played an active role in the local community, giving back and staying involved in every way we can. In 1981, we moved our office from Chicago, IL to Park Ridge, IL, and we carry on the tradition of service to the Chicagoland, IL region.

The Missing Ring
A client “lost” his father-in-law’s ring while swimming in his pool. When the client called, Ed drove over to the client’s house, donned his diving gear, dove into the pool, and retrieved the ring for a highly grateful, emotional client. The ring may not have been covered under the policy since it was not technically lost.
Right Place, Right Time
Working in the office, Ed heard a loud crash. Running to the window, he realized that a client was in a car accident directly in front of the office. Ed rushed to the client’s aid and called 911. He was then able to file an insurance claim in minutes.
One Step Ahead
While watching the evening news, Matt saw the report of a client’s business that had caught on fire. He went into the office and had filed the insurance claim before the client knew about the fire.
